Four important markets & how to target them: families; overseas' visitors; VFR*, & special interest visitors

*VFR = visits to friends & relatives (they use local accommodation too)

An in-person workshop for tourism businesses, artists & makers, food & drink producers, & activity providers  in/near the North York Moors National Park

When: Tuesday, 25th March - 1.30 pm: tea/coffee & registration; 1.45 pm event  begins; 3.30 pm end

Where: Goathland Village Hall, Goathland, YO22 5JR

Come along to this upbeat and practical marketing workshop to learn more about four key markets and how to attract them. I'll answer all these questions:

  • how to adapt your marketing  to appeal to different markets at different times
  • what key messages do you need to convey to the family-market? What growth areas can you capitalise on?
  • what do overseas' visitors need? Which nationalities are most likely to visit? How can you adapt your marketing to attract them?
  • why is the VFR (visits to friends & relatives) one of the most neglected, yet most lucrative markets for attractions, accommodation providers, activity providers, and food and drink outlets?
  • what's getting in the way of attracting special interest visitors?

We hope you'll leave the session with some fresh ideas, an action plan and ways to attract the visitors you want, when you want.
