Dark skies and counting stars

The Dark Skies Festival starts this Friday. Thanks to those businesses who’ve already been promoting it on their social channels. It’s a fantastic opportunity to encourage visitors to experience the tranquillity and spectacular night scapes of the North York Moors. Don’t forget you can use the Image library.

When using images from the image library, please remember to always credit the photographer. Although we provide images for you to use in your marketing, please remember that they must not be manipulated, edited or cropped. 

CPRE’s Star Count starts from next week. We’d love lots of readings from the North York Moors- residents, businesses and visitors. Your results will help to measure the country’s dark skies and ultimately helps towards reducing light pollution.
